Advice on dating Russian men?
I'm a 21 year-old Arab American girl dating a 30 year-old Russian man. He neither drinks nor smokes. He's been in the U.S for 4 years now. Although his English is not perfect (he's still learning), he is very nice and insists on paying for everything and buying me things. He has given me flowers and sweets. He calls me often and emails me every day, telling me that he is very happy and eager to meet me every single day. In fact, he says he's willing to drive far just to see me. We've been chatting for a few weeks. He even wrote to me that he loves me. So far, we've only been on 2 dates. Is it common for men from Russia to tell a girl that he loves her after a few weeks of knowing her? How do I know that he's sincere? Also he's very gentlemanly and we have not kissed or held hands even. I don't know whether or not I'm supposed to make the first move. So I was wondering if anyone has any good advice on dating a Russian man.

- Russian men will more likely pay your bill when dating. They are more likely to drive you rather than let you drive. They are usually more gentlemanly in comparison to american men. They like to treat women like ladies. Russian men are also very handsome and great in bed!
- I have been talking with a Russian man for a while, and he seems to be the same way you are describing. Something that surprised me is he is willing to pay for EVERYTHING for me, he wants to "take care of me". He said that is normal for Russian men to take care of the lady, which i like. He calls and chats with me every day, he makes time to talk to me specially. I don't know if its normal for him to say I love you so soon, but they do seem to be straightforward with letting you know they like you. So, he probably means it :) For making the first move, I would wait for him (that's what I plan to do) they seem to like their woman to act and look like a woman and let them do the men things in the relationship. I think the best advice overall is to just let him take the lead and you follow, I think they expect and like that.
