any advice with dating? girls!?

i barley know her because i just moved, im a junior in a sophomore class (because my councilor is gay) but how do i talk to her more, and im really positive that she likes me... so do the 7 other girls sitting next to her, and a gay kid....(gross) but i've never had a girlfriend so i don't know what to do. and like i said, i don't know her very well.... should i keep looking? or should i go for it? and if i do how?
