Help..My sister is 12 and a half year old sister is internet dating what should i do?

She has been on the internet a lot lately. And i figured it just meant homework. But come to find out she is internet dating boys who are 5-6 years older that her. Im scared for her but im not sure what i should do. Please help. She gives them our phone number and makes up lies about who she really is. is this natural or should i tell my mom? please give me advice Well i did try talking to her about it once but it ended terribly. She dosent like to open up to me. and its hard because i want the best for her right now she only gives her number to boys that are 13 14 and 15 i talked to one of the boys and he sounded way older that. i ended up blocking those numbers without her knowing and that upset her now she only textes but thats not good wither. i really really wan her to have fun but bee safe at the same time. phew this is hard work especially going into her teenage year. i think its hormones.

1. Let your Mom know. Doing what your sister is doing can be harmless but it can also lead to dangerous outcomes. Your Mom needs to know because steps can be taken to limit her use of the Internet to more productive things.

3. I knew a lot of people my age that did when I was that young; but I never did. I feel it is wrong; and especially if she is handing out her number, you need to tell your mom. You can tell the area were someone lives judging by the digits in their phone number: So please, please tell your mother. Or you could supervise her while she is on the computer, and attempt to control her yourself.
4. My sister did the same thing. she knew this guy for a year and it ended up to be someone that wanted to rape and then kill her. i say you sit down and talk with her. She needs to know that this is serious what she is doing.
5. Does she know you know? You could always try to guilt her into stopping. Drop hints into making her extremely ashamed. Say like, "Yeah, you have a life. I bet you have so many REAL friends. I bet everyone in real life just loves you, because you're so pretty and smart like that. Not like only older guys on the Internet are your only comfort in life or anything. Yeah, you'll grow up to be really successful one day." ...just don't take it too far lol. I dunno. I agree with the other users. Tell Mom and tell her to keep it anonymous...but your sis needs some help.
6. Don't tell your mom unless she is planning to meet someone because if you tell on her she is never going to trust you or talk to you again. If i were you i would sit her down and talk to her about it. Let her know the pros's and cons. Tell her about things that could happen. I take it that you are older than her. She is young and just doesn't understand. Also let her know that she shouldn't trust any of these people because they are only seeking one thing.
