What do you think about Internet Romances?

What is your take on internet dating and long distance relationships that blossom online?? Any good stories, advice, tips to keep the relationship going strong. My best friend in the world has been in a relationship with a girl from China for about a year and half now. She is a great person and makes him happy. We have done 3way web chats, group IM's and what not and we know she isn't running a scam on him.

1. Lol sorry I think it's a waste of time...I'm into real life relationships, face to face. Really think about it, when you wanna be with your significant other, you just turn your computer on? That's not for me

6. i think that without the actual contact they can bare it but when they have it and if they have that connection then to be deprived of it again will be a struggle they might not get over and besides i know the difference between being with the one you love and talking on msn and that and believe me id rather spend a day with the person then a week on msn and that i think its being wasted away aswell when they could have potential they really should meet however they god dam can dont want to miss chances like that hope i helped :)
7. Nah it's not really my thing, i'd rather meet a person face to face because you never know if the person your talking to is who he/she says they are?! =/ I have one friend who hooked up with a guy from the internet and they've been together for over a year now...he's a pretty good guy :)
