Well he is going through online dating and he is a bit stuck as to what to say when e-mailing and replying to someone add. How does he start, what is a good thing to start with and what do women don't like. some examples would be great. MANY THANKS ALL

  1. Well if you are replying i would say something like thanks for reading my add. How are you so on and so on. Just be yourself honest and polite. Women don't like it when guys try to act cool or use slang like hey mama or baby girl sexy etc etc... Be a gentlemen Its also kinda hard to say because i would need to see what she wrote him first!
  2. Responding to an online dating ad is almost like an art, something you can learn and become better at over time, but like writing a resume it does take a little study and practice. You want to sound casual, not rehearsed, but you don't want your response to sound like an essay you stayed up all night writing. The first and most important thing to include in your response is some type of acknowledgement that you actually READ her profile. So many guys play the 'numbers game' and write to as many of the girls on their dating site as possible just *hoping* that one of them will be desperate enough to respond. Make yourself stand out from the crowd by commenting on something specific in her dating profile. This will set your email apart from 99% of the emails she gets from other guys. This could be anything - like a favorite food she mentioned or a favorite activity she enjoys or a favorite place she would like to go. Try to find something that you have in common with her and mention that. Prove that you actually took the time to read her profile and you'll be way ahead. Here's a Good example of something you can include in your email: "I noticed that you mentioned in your profile that you liked Sushi - I LOVE Sushi. My favorite type of Sushi is the Spicy Tuna Roll, what's yours? Here's a BAD example of what to write: "You're Hot!" Also, don't write her a book. Keep the email relatively short, indicate that you read her profile by commenting on something specific, and be casual. Finally, end with a question to encourage her to write back an answer. Hope this was helpful!
