  1. Yes it matters if the police officer shows up (he has to state/swear in court he saw you speed) Try talking to the officer and see if you can take a defensive driving class. usually there are options to assist. (what's your history?)
  2. I suggest you go to traffic school and see if that can get points knocked off and possibly reduce the charge because if you go to court you will probably lose if you got clocked. You can do traffic school through blockbuster and take a test. It costs about 45 dollars give or take. Check into it.
  3. The Officer is only required to appear if his testimony is required. Most of the time, Officers are in court because of the multitude of citations written. If the Office is not in court, and a trial is deemed necessary, then the case is continued so the Officer can be present. Go to court with your best attitude, and depending on your driving record, someone might make you an offer you can't refuse.
  4. 30 over is probably reckless driving, not speeding. You will probably lose your license
  5. check the ticket. if the cop didn't sign his name, or forgot to put the date, i think the ticket can be thrown out because it makes it invalid.
  6. Convince the judge you realize you screwed up. Maybe, just maybe, he'll cutyou some slack. But don't count on it. You do realize you did a bonehead thing?
