I am going to a speed dating session tomorrow for the first time...?
2 friends of mine convinced me to accompany them to this speed dating thing...they said that it should be a good laugh...any advice on approaching this whole new thing?

- I think that the whole speed dating thing can be a kind of cool thing, and even a little less nerve wracking than a real one-on-one date. You only spend a few minutes with each person, and, when you think about it, you can usually tell if there's some kind of spark with people pretty quickly, but if you're just not interested, "ding", move on, ;). Just be yourself and make it a fun experience. Show your pretty smile; have a great time!
- Here's what you must do: When you leave your house to go to the venue, say to yourself "I am a sex object. Men desire me." When you walk into the venue smile and make eye contact with as many people as possible, both male AND female. You will be perceived as a warm and confident person. When face-to-face with a potential match, smile warmly and show interest in them ALL. Other men around you will feel more relaxed about their turn with you as you are communicating goodwill. Be a good listener and keep your voice low, focused and expressive. When you come face-to-face with someone you fancy, give him at least one compliment. Hold eye contact while you give the complement but keep it soft and light. Express light-hearted regret that you both have to move on to the next one. At the end of the evening, make sure you make eye-contact again with the one(s) you're interested in. Make sure you say goodbye to them.
