Do opposites attract? How do opposing personalities work in a relationship?
I am dating the "perfect" man. The problem is, that we are total opposites. I am a liberal hippie and he is a conservative redneck who grew up in the Bible belt. We look different, listen to different music, like doing different things with free time. I am patient, he is not, he has a temper I don't, he likes being around people, I don't, I mean you name it- we're opposites. But I feel safe around him. I like him, he's funny. He likes me back, alot. Any advice?

- It works if you are BOTH flexible and accept the "agree to disagree" mantra. You must be non-critical about differences, but rather learn from each other. If you can handle all that, being opposities can work.
- I was in a similar relationship at one point. While the passion was certainly there, we had all kinds of issues in terms of moving forward in the relationship. We wanted and expected very different things out of life. We certainly had fun though!
- I am big beliver in astrology,and I have found that alot of answers to relationship issues can be found in the right astrology book or web sight.Opposites most definitly do attract,and more often than not have a much better chance of surving than couples who tend to have alot more in common.It is the whole mars and venus attraction,your best tools for a lasting relationship are unconditonal love,open and honest communication,and most importantly patience to learn to understand and accept each others unique individuality.
