learn how to understand men

Over 2 years of online dating.. NEED SERIOUS ADVICE!?

Hi, Alittle over 2 years ago When I was 14.. I met a guy in an online game. He was 16.. I fell in love with him.. or should I say We fell in love with eachother. We've spent everyday, several hours a day together. Whether its just talking.. playing games or watching movies. I dont have alot of characters left for the entire story so I'll cut it short.. Year and half after dating.. I traced his IP it came out to a different city where he told me he lived.. I confronted him.. He said bad past with his dad.. his mom would freak if he told their real location.. Here i am 2 years and 3 months into this relationship.. and I asked him where he works.. He wont tell me.. I find this odd. and a major trust issue.. He said with his past.. its created fear and weird beliefs.. I just have to accept that and in time.. he'll tell me.. Come on after 2 years and 3 months of spending everyday with someone.. Why wont he tell me where he works.. Why did he lie about the city he lives?

  1. you cant be in a serious relationship with someone you have never met. Sorry but you cannot fall in love like that. He could be a perv grooming you. block him and get yourself in the real world and find someone you can share your love with
  2. He probably is fake. As in... an older guy or maybe even a girl pretending to be a younger boy. It happens. I'm guessing you haven't been able to talk on the phone either right?
  3. Maybe he's a 50 year old pervert. Ask to meet him and bring Dateline with you.
  4. He's not who he says he is.
  5. I think you need to start looking out for real life people to date. You'll never really know this guy until you see him in person. He could have made up everything and not be the person he's told you he is. About the job, maybe he's embarrassed by it. Maybe he's a male stripper... lol jk. I personally would look out for better options and try to date someone in real life.
  6. That sounds scary especially given your age. I met and fell in love with someone online a year ago and will be married next Aug. If your instinct tells you something is not right then follow what the little voice is saying. You should have no doubts about this guy given you have spent that much time with him. Either he is upfront or kick him to the curb. Please be careful and good luck!!!
  7. You can't fall in love with someone you have never met. Yah his personality maybe what attracted you to him, but fom what I've read...there's something fishy abt him and you have CAUGHT him lying...if he was in love, he wouldn't lie to you...that story abt his bad past kinda seems iffy and even if that was true, if he loves you, he should have trusted you enough to atleast tell you where he lives...i mean it's not like you were gonna go out looking for his dad to give him their "new" location....
  8. He may not be who he is, this doesn't mean he is a pervert though, he could just wish he had a different life. You should try meet up with him in a public place as soon as possible, so if he isn;t who he says he is, you won't be as upset.
  9. If it's like that, I don't think he's taking the relationship as seriously as you do. You claim your "In love" with him. Maybe he just regards you as an online friend. Or maybe he doesn't trust an identity given to him online - If some person told me they were a 14 year old girl online I wouldnt believe them.
  10. Hmm..normally I don't say this but this guy sounds sketchy. He really doesn't seem to be "real". Or he at least doesn't seem to view your guys' relationship the same way you do. He may only see you as a friend: nothing more, nothing less. Does he have a webcam? Talk to him while you're both on a webcam and THEN tell each other where you live. That way you'll be sure he's not a creeper. P.S. don't listen to the people saying you can't have a real relationship/friendship online. You obviously can but they've never experienced it before so they shouldn't be talking.
