learn how to understand men

i need advice about the man I meet through Yahoo personals?

I have my profile at yahoo personals and I was browsing men profiles and I sent an small note to this man that i liked, next day I got from him an answer were he said_ that he likes my profile and if he was not free he were not be at the personals, ok, we start chatting and talking on the phone for 1 week and we decided to meet in person at a coffee house and when we met he was very nice, gentleman, vey respectful and he is the type of man I liked. The next day after the meeting, he sent me an email asking if I would like to meet with him again and I sent an email back saying- yes of course! But 2 nights ago we were talking by the phone and he was saying to me_it is normal if I want to meet another person and see what happend, and he said_ if you like somebody and you would like to meet him in person, ok do it, because we are not dating we are just meeting... Well we just meet once , but I'm confuse because if he likes me and he wants to meet me again why he said that to me? Maybe I should take this relationship with more calm, because he said _he does not want any rush, first friends... But I 'll hope everybody understand me because I did not like it when he said_ you can try with another man if you want and see what happend, because we do not know yet what it is going to happend between us...:=( but I do not want really to try with a different man I like to try with him first and if does not work out, ok i will... And I'm assume he is going to try with a different women :=(

  1. Perhaps he has a different definition of dating than you do. Dating to him may mean that you are seeing each other exclusively, with no one else on the side. To you, it seems like dating is just playing the field, testing the waters until you find a guy to be exclusive with. Maybe he wants to get to know you better. You're not exclusive with this guy, so you're free to see whoever you want. If you want it to be more, you need to say so.
