Here's my situation (and the situation of many others)...I paid $400 for a Nokia n810 internet tablet, which has a GPS receiver built in. In order to use the GPS function for getting directions, you have to subscribe to the Wayfinder software, which amounts to $139 for a three years license (you can look at a map and see where you are for free, that's it). This Wayfinder software is sub-par--the only advantage it has on the open source mapping software (Maemo Mapper) is voice-guided directions, and it runs a bit smoother. But it's definately not worth "subscribing" to, or paying anything extra at all...it shrinks viewable map to 1/2 the screen's size, and the maps aren't up to date. On to th e point....who do I report this to since Wayfinder is based in the UK? I would report it to the Better Business Bureau, but I'm not sure if they'd handle things like this. And it's not exactly a trade issue...or is it? Any help/advice (other than "try Maemo Mapper") would be great!
