learn how to understand men

How does a 22-year-old guy write an online profile that will get him dates?

I have finally decide to give in and try online dating. I have had no luck finding women anywhere(my city is overwhelmingly elderly) but I am so confused about how to succede. I have heard that 97% of men give up after 3 months because they have no luck. All the online dating advice I have read says you should put in a bunch of stuff about travelling, but I don't travel; so what can I write that will get me responses? I really want to hear from guys who have had success with online dating. Please give me some advice.

  1. say that your nice and you will respect women, that you like people with good personalities. oh, and dont write anything about what a women looks like similar to "hot" or "smokin body" those are disgusting... i hope i was SOME help
  2. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER..........................
  3. I'm not a guy, but since I've used online sites and some met guys through them, I thought a few ideas might help you... Go to the online site and look up guy's profiles so you can get an idea of what some guys are writing. Reading their profiles might help you figure out if you'd like to present yourself similarly or differently and how you might 'stand out' more. To see the guys' profiles, put in the 'search' that you're a woman seeking men (and the age range; for example: 19 to 25 or whatever is your preference. In your personal ad, be honest but don't tell EVERY little thing, use words and adjectives that you feel truly suit you (e.g., honest, easy going, ambitious, etc., etc.,) I'm guessing that the suggestion to put in a 'bunch of stuff about traveling' would also include whether you're willing to travel out of town, city, state or country to meet someone. It's a marketing ad...you ARE selling yourself online (not for money, naturally), but you are advertising your qualities, availability, preferences, and uniqueness. Write a few drafts and it'll come together soon... try completing these sentences for/about yourself: "I am..." "I like to..." "I value..." "I want or would like..." "I'm looking for a woman who is..." "My friends say that I (describe me as)..." Include basics on physical attributes and interests. Emphasize (as much as you feel comfortable with) strong points in your character, personal /professional life, hobbies, adventures, and describe quirks positively. Relax, have fun... you can always edit your profile. Also make sure you have a good, clear picture or two. Good luck.
