I am being taken to court by a possible creditor from many years ago. I don't recognize the attorney's client, but if it turns out it is a past contract that has been passed on to new owners, I need legal advice for court tomorrow during the pre-trial. In my initial response to the attorney, I mentioned asked how long ago is this bill, what are the details of the original debt, and if there was a statue of limitations on this matter. I next received a notice for a pre-trial date of tomorrow. Any suggestions of who I can speak with today would be very helpful. I live in Detroit, MI, and my hearing is at the 36th District Court, in downtown detroit.
