internet security--free editions ?
have been using AVG free 8.5 but lately have been having problems IE- some components are out of date , but i dont know the remedy to fix ? can anyone suggest some other free downloads which are more reliable . obviously you dont get much for free these days but i would sure appreciate some expert advice . thanks in advance

- Most security editions let you have the gear free for a trial period before signing up. these usually include all or most of the pieces. try avg in a few places as you may get the updates as well. go to hippo.com and see what they offer. also use expert sites that will give you their reccomendations

- You should not have any difficulty keeping free AVG up-to-date. Double click its icon in the Notificvation Area, double click Update Manager, click up-date , and again when indicated.
- Try AVAST. Works well.
