learn how to understand men

Met a guy online...Need advice!?

Hi. I'm 19 and i met a 21 year old guy on a free internet dating website. He lives near to me, and we've been chatting on msn for a while. He asked for my number and has basically been texting me...non-stop since then. I feel suffocated. I'm meeting him tomorrow for lunch for the first time.. and i'm scared. He's really nice, and we get on well but....argh. I've never been in a relationship before, and i don't think he's v good with the women either haha... But i duno whether to give him a chance and see how things turn out or not.. Any ideas? Thanks. We met up and he was lovely :) Thanks for all your advice, though!

  1. have a guy friend to watch from afar to make sure he isn't psycho
  2. uhh id bring a friend with u just to be safe
  3. bring a friend. hey if everything turns out good maybe a threesome. haha, kidding. but seriously have someone watch from afar like the first person said
  4. If your stomach says there is something wrong then there is. You feel suffocated and you havent even met him, please he is too needy. No date it will just make things worse if ya dont like him. Take care
  5. Woah...that's creepy. If you're going to meet him bring friends with you. He could be a stalker or a pedophile. And texting nonstop sounds kinda needy/desperate. You should be careful...he seems creepy
  6. If you've never had a boyfriend before, definitely give it a shot before you say no and never meet him. If it doesn't work out, oh well. If it does, then great!!
  7. Ok I've met guys online before too... I always tell someone where I'm going and how long I'll be (just to be safe) Then I text them during the night to let them know how things are going... you can text from the loo or just tell your date what your doing... any decent guy will understand! I'd say the non stop texting is just the first flush of excitement, but you should go with your gut feeling! If you have a bad feeling then back out... nothing lost... if it's just nerves then go for it and see how it goes... maybe try somewhere local just for a coffee or something... that way if it's terrible you don't have to stay too long... and if it goes well then you can arrange to meet up again! Best of luck with it all :-) Sure it's all just a bit of fun as long as you do it safely!
