Speeding ticket advice.?

Hey, guys, i got court comming up soon. Think anyone can help me? Im 16 and i have to go to court. No option I got a speeding ticket in a 45 zone going 63. It was 6:12 am. This was about 5 months ago. The sun was already comming out. The roads were clear. No traffic for miles(country road sorta) I was grounded for months afterward >< What should i tell or my dad tell the judge(even though its a freind of his) Here is the thing, my dad told me to plea guilty but honestly i know i wasnt going that fast. I know i was only going 55 and not 63. But should i go ahead and plea guilty? this is my 1st time EVER in court. I just dont want to lose my license. So ANY advice is great. The court date is April 3rd :/P Edit: I also was on a new anti depressant. IDK if that worth mentioning or not

  1. Play stupid in court. Just sit there and do nothing. Eventually, the prosecutor will come looking for you. Tell him this is the first time in court for you and you have no clue as to what goes on. Remember, the very last thing they want is for the matter to go to trial. All they really want is the money. The prosecutor will ask to speak to you. Very likely, he will offer a plea bargain - you get some minor infraction, like not wearing you seat belt or obstructing traffic. In return, you plead to the reduced charge, pay your fine and some nominal court costs, and call it a day. After the prosecutor cuts your deal, you just go up in front of the judge and plead guilty. That's it. They get the cash and a quick hearing and it's all over.
  2. Let them know you are on a new antidepressant when you got ticket. I have been on meds and gotten tickets before. Tell them the truth. i think the worst that could happen is lose licence till 18 or impound of car. Good Luck with Court. (Above sounds good too)
  3. Your best bet is to contact the courts and ask them these questions. They are the ones who will process your ticket and will know all the laws and regulation. You should also ask the courts if you are allowed to take a driving school class. This will prevent your insurance from going up and points from being placed on your license. Just make sure you get the courts permission before doing so. If you don’t the courts will reject your driving school certificate. Good luck! http://www.ticketrelief.com
