Any advice on dating much older men?

I'm 19 and he is in his forties. Im not looking for a sugar daddy or a replacement for a father figure I never had. I just seem to be attracted to older men due to thier extended knowledge and understanding of the world. I am just leary that the age difference could be a problem for him. Im trying to find out What he wants. I know he Is respectful in my choices but Im worried about his intentions or if we get serious I'm wondering if he will turn into a father figure naturally due to my age, or if he just wants to show off that he can get a girl my age with my looks. IDK I need some insight, especially if youve been in my shoes help me!

14. I wish you told us the ages. Only date an older guy if you actually care about him. Always be yourself. Older guys arent usually as shallow as young guys. Treat him good and he will really appreciate it. Expect him to think you may cheat on him. Assure him you wont.

17. don't. If that doesn't disuade you (and your aren't doing it for financial reasons or because you have unresolved issues with your father) think about his motivations. If they aren't to objectify you as a status symbol to his virility and prove that he still "has it", then go forward cautiously. Some May -December relationships work wonderfully with both partners getting fullfillment. Just remember that once he's gone you're left behind and it can be very lonely.
