learn how to understand men

Dating Situation - NEED ADVICE FROM MEN ONLY!!?

I am a 28yr old woman who had brain surgery. I went out to meet a guy for a first date the other day. Because of my brain surgery I have side-effects and one is Short-term memory problems. I cannot remember things people tell me 10 minutes later (esp if the conversation is long like on a date). So anyway the guy asked me why I was not driving and I could not lie so I told them I had a seizure. It turns out they had them too when young. I then told them about my surgery and problems remembering. Due to the problems remembering such large amounts of info I tape-recorded our date so I would remember what we talked about when I went home. I told the guy this after explaining my memory problems and offered to erase it - he said "No problem". How would the men out there handle this if they found out they were being taped at the end of the conversation due to memory problems. Would you appreciate the honesty? or Would you not talk to the woman again? HONEST ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!

  1. Thats kind of sexy. You can have sex for the first time every time! It should not be a problem if he likes you...
  2. I would really appreciate her honesty and probably try and help her. its embarrassing for sure but theres a serious problem so i would definitely empathise with her
  3. If the man is honest he will not fear any tape recording. Only people who lie fear tape recodings. I suspect that on a first date nothing was said either way?
  4. I wouldn't have a problem with it - but then I'm a little more mature and tend to think about what I'm going to say. I don't just blurt out silly or hurtful statements, and I don't apply sexual connotations to every situation. As you approach 30 you'll probably be looking for more grown-up men, and most of them shouldn't have a problem with your situation, or your solution to it. As a time-saver, you might mention what you are doing and why, as the evening begins. If the guy doesn't like it it's better to find out sooner rather than later. I know you shouldn't start off any relationship with negatives, but honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
  5. I would appreciate the honesty, and be a little glad you hadn't told me from the beginning, I would have been nervous through the conversation, it would have felt like an interview for a job more than a date. It is kinda cool to see that you are trying to adapt and overcome, make your life into what you want it to be not just let it happen as it may. Good luck to you, I hope your brain surgery turns out alright.
