Online dating site advice?? I am new to online dating but am trying it out to meet someone after the end of a long relationship a few months ago. I have never done it before and was hoping to get a little advice, because it seems awkward to me. Do women that I meet on there expect flirting, or just regular conversation. It seems a little boring to talk about weather, jobs, etc, etc. Also how long to email or chat before meeting in person? Any other advice? There are a couple girls I want to flirt with but don't want to come off as creepy or pushy.. Also, any ideas as to how to flirt online?? :)
I need some advice (online dating), it`s urgent.? I just set a date with guy I met online yesterday. It`s pretty much a blind date, he doesn`t know what I look like, but he has a picture in his profile. However it too small to see what he really looks like. He is a biker and he has bad spelling. I know this doesn`t mean he is a bad man, but it oesn`t look right to me. I am meeting this man, because I am sick of cowards online who can exchange messages online, but never actually meet. I have this strange feeling I won`t like this man and I need your advice what to do if I don`t like him, what to tell him afterwards. He agreed to meet during the day and it is going to be in a public place, but I still have this strange feeling. This is my 3rd blind date with the people I met online, but I have a strange feeling about this one, he is also much older than I, maybe that`s the reason. Please, don`t make nasty< comments if you don`t have to.
I need online dating advice!? Often, I'll meet nice guys online but they'll never take the next step and actually ask me out. Instead, they write things like "So now what?" Or they keep e-mailing me with tons of questions. I think after a few e-mails they should ask for my number or invite me for coffee or a drink. Am I wrong to stop writing back after a few e-mails?
Advice about online dating? I have never tried online dating before. Well recently I met a guy online, we have exchanged photos, etc. Anyway, what advice could you give me on how to make this successful? Especially men, what would really turn you off about a girl online? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks strayeagle I appreciate your advice! I did not thumbs down you! Lol This guy I have met on Facebook so I know it is definitely his photo and he is genuine.
Online dating? Advice Please...? I have recently signed up on eharmony. I met this guy that I have been talking to from there. Hes really nice and we have a lot in common. The only problem I have is that he loves to work out and i dont myself. I am not "in shape". I mean i dont find myself huge but im def not skinny either. Eharmony doesnt give you a place to answer about your body size but i do have pictures up. Do you think this will be a problem with him? How should I bring it up in conversation?
NEED ADVICE!! Online Dating? Hi, Alittle over 2 years ago When I was 14.. I met a guy in an online game. He was 16.. I fell in love with him.. or should I say We fell in love with eachother. We've spent everyday, several hours a day together. Whether its just talking.. playing games or watching movies. I dont have alot of characters left for the entire story so I'll cut it short.. Year and half after dating.. I traced his IP it came out to a different city where he told me he lived.. I confronted him.. He said bad past with his dad.. his mom would freak if he told their real location.. Here i am 2 years and 3 months into this relationship.. and I asked him where he works.. He wont tell me.. I find this odd. and a major trust issue.. He said with his past.. its created fear and weird beliefs.. I just have to accept that and in time.. he'll tell me.. Come on after 2 years and 3 months of spending everyday with someone.. Why wont he tell me where he works.. Why did he lie about the city he lives?
Can anyone provide advice on online dating? I met this guy online(not even trying) and we've hit it off but now he wants to take it a step further and exchange pictures and I am worried what if we are not attracted to each other. Than this whole thing will end and I'm not sure if thats what I want. I don't think i am unattractive. You just cant be everybody's type you know.
Anyone have advice for online dating? Currently I'm on eHarmony, and have been talking to a girl on there for about a week and a half. We have exchanged four emails so far. She seems interested in me, and is asking many questions about myself. Should I ask for her phone number, or just ask her out on a date instead and skip getting the phone number? If I do ask for her phone number, via email, how should I ask for it?
Online dating? Need advice from guys...? I recently got into online dating (eharmony) and have talked to a few nice guys back and forth. One guy in particular has really caught my eye. We've been messaging each other for about 1.5 weeks now. My problem is that I can't really tell if he's interested. He continues to respond to my messages, answering my questions about him and asking me a few things about myself. He always greets me with a pleasant enthusiastic opening, but he just doesn't write very long messages. It seems like he's putting in the bare minimum while I feel like my messages are twice as long. Should I take that as a sign of disinterest or is that just a guy thing to not write long messages? Would he continue to communicate with me if he wasn't interested? I really want to just meet him in person because I'd rather get to know someone that way opposed to typing small talk back and forth. Is that too pushy to tell him that or would he maybe be relieved to get past the messaging?
I need advice! (Online dating)? How do you feel about meeting someone online? I met this guy on Craigslist and we have just been emailing each other. No personal data or pictures exchanged. We are being respectful of each others privacy. But it went from friendly emails to flirty ones.....not purposely but I think because there might be something. How do you all feel about online talking that may turn into something? And is it really safe? I know you cant always be too sure. But how do you really know if the guy is telling the truth? I guess there really is no way, just have to go with your gut. Help me please!
Hello guys I need your advice on online dating? I met this one guy online and we started texting each other continuously non stop for a couple of day then that lead to us going out on a date. We met and seemed to hit it off...instant chemistry...we were both very affectionate the entire night....great conversation...it was very natural! He kept sweetly kissing me, hugging me, holding my hand etc...mostly all instigated by him. So the next day I do the dreaded thing and texted him....I thanked him and said I would like to do it again and he said we would. Well I ended up inviting him to a get together I was having that night but he already had plans....well the next night I invited him to an Oscar party...he asked when (he had no clue when the oscars even where) but when I told him he then said he had plans. I haven't called or texted at all today and neither has he. Do you think I ruined things by calling him the next day? I can usually sense when there is no chemistry or when things aren't going well and that wasn't at ALL the case on the date...I could kick myself for contacting him the next day!!!!! Any advice will be apreciated!!! Thanks guys
Serious advice time. Online dating? OK, so my whole life iv been opposed to the thought of online dating. i recently have found this girl who lives so many states away, that its physically not possible. For some reason i have a strange attraction to her, and cant wait for nothing more than to talk to her online, is this weird? Iv always shunned upon the idea of meeting someone via internet, but idk. Here is the kicker, im visiting a college friend who lives in L.A and from here, she lives a meer two hours away, do i see her? Help please.
Advice on online dating.....? I am shy to ask a girl out face to face. And now I am considering online thing, atleast it feels somewhat easier and I can chit chat before I go for a date. My question is how effective is online dating ? Please forward any experience you have known or have heard.
I need your advice... how can I market an online dating company better? I own a website and live dating company called OneKeyAway.com, what is the best way for me to spread the word? I'm doing my best to spread the word about my company. I email my friends to email their friends. I am doing a little co-marketing with other online companies that also do live singles events. I post things on MySpace and on Craigslist. I even place ads in regular newspapers. I really think that I help people meet face to face and have had successful relationships for my guests. I dont know what else to do. What advice can you give me? Edwin OneKeyAway.com
online dating advice...? So... Supposedly on-line dating is supposed to be the wave of the future... a really easy way to meet dozens of women... it's been complete and total failure for me. No women even look at my profile. Is there any advice on why women are avoiding my profile like the plague?
i need some serious advice on online dating? ok this is going to sound really bad but im 16 and iv been doing online dating on plentyoffish.com and my parents don't know well i have been talking to this guy for a while and he really wants to hang out but the thing is hes 21 and i don't know how to tell him im 16 should i just stop talking to him? cause hes really nice and cool and stuff i just don't want him to get angry or feel really awkward but i wouldnt have sex with him so its not illegal

online dating, i need your advice? i tried online dating for only 2 days. then i took my picture down and closed my account. there was this guy who send a message to me and we started sending text messages to each other once in a while. we never met in person and after a while he text me last night saying I'd still like to meet sometime and my respond was we could do that sometime. what do you think of his text and what do you think of my respond.
Can anyone give me advice about online dating? I have been talking to a girl, for about three days now, on an online dating site eHarmony. I think her and I are really clicking, she seems to really be interested in me. In fact she is the one who emailed me first. Today I thought that I would ask for her number and call her for the first date this weekend. I put in the email that there was no pressure to give me the phone number, but I just wanted to open up another form of communication outside of email, and that maybe we could set up something for the weekend. I really haven't done that much online dating before-- did I commit a major error, or is that natural to ask for a girl's number if you feel the time is right? Or should you wait a couple of weeks before asking for a girl's phone number?
Girls never respond to my messages on this Online Dating Website... advice.? I'm into trying new things... who knew online dating can be so addictive... Well for some info on the problem... I'm not ugly. I don't say what I don't mean and I do try to say a joke here and there but for some reason girls still don't respond... I tried commenting on something that caught my eye in their profile but still didn't work. What am I missing that they don't message me back? My pictures are also pretty good. And is it okay to message alot of different girls at once or should I message one girl at a time and wait for an answer before messaging someone else? And are there any girls who will recieve a message their planning on responding too but wait just to not seem too eager or desperate and instead respond a few days or a week later? What are the "hidden" rules to this online dating stuff. I know there are these things you shouldn't do and things you should do that's just known among experienced online daters :-P lol... i might be off but... Advice anyone? It's a free online dating website and i'm not asking for the usual, "Stop it, it's wrong." Just for some advice please.

Does anyone have advice for online dating? There is a girl that I have been talking to for about three days on an online dating sight that I belong to. I'd say we really hit it off. She is the one who contacted me first. The first day she got back to me very quickly, and the next two days she contacted me at least twice. That was Friday-Sunday of last week. The other day I sent her an email asking for her number so we could set something up for the weekend. It's been two days and I haven't heard back from her. I said it was no big deal if she didn't want to give it to me. Should I just assume that she is busy, or was she perhaps turned off by the fact I asked for her phone number? How long should I wait to email her again? Should I ask for her phone number again, if she does get back to me? Actually it's been three days since I've heard from her. The last day I got an email from her was Sunday, today is Wednesday.
I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP/ADVICE WITH ONLINE DATING PLEASE!? ok, i was in a relationship for 3 years and towards the end, it got really bad. basically i am not ready and wont be ready for a relationship for a long time. I am a Mechanical Engineering student which consumes my life meaning i wouldn't really have time for a relationship anyways. I consider myself to be pretty decent and fit (5'9" and 150lbs) and i am very clean cut. all i want is a casual, mutual relationship with a girl that is strictly physical. I tried craigslist but every post i replied to was a scam and every reply to my post was a scam. please, do you know of a website such as adult friend finder or even craigslist that really works? i have been extremely depressed lately and just want somebody to help me transition to the single life. thanks for any help i really appreciate it

Met an online dating con artist-Advice needed? Met a 42 yr old caucasian man in Las Vegas off one of the online dating profiles a few months ago. In the beginning of the first 2 weeks, he was accessible and would call/text often to see how i was doing. Soon after that, calls were less frequent and I did not realize until recently as I was filtering thru my pic text that there were 2 additional numbers on those pics that he sent to as well. We had stopped talking about 3 weeks ago as his stories were starting to get inconsistent and he would NEVER pick up his phone in the evening or say he never got my text. I called him on all the inconsistencies and he just said that he didnt want to argue with me anymore and hung up on me. I did not hear from him again following that, but did get a text a week later to wish me a happy bday. I now am back on the online dating scene, but with a diff company and I find his profile on there. I read thru it and it all makes sense that he is online looking to scam women (only specifically asian women) to help him invest in his wine bar that he is looking to open this yr. From his profile he states he is in no hurry or "need" to be in a relationship, but is looking for a partner who shares the same dreams, drive, and visions as he does. If a woman was to read that, what opinions would you be able to formulate from that? I feel like he has been playing with multiple women all this time and will continue to do so until he finds the one that he can help him invest. He never gave me the reason as to why he didnt want to have any type contact with me, but now i am realizing that he had a "secret" agenda the whole time and if you did not have what he wanted, he moves onto the next unsuspected prey. How do I stop him from manipulating more asian women like myself? He will be considered very ill willed in the online dating world if he continues this. I cannot report a concern as I do not have proof other than from experience. I do believe in Karma and know that all this will come tumbling down on him sooner or later. he has now changed his number as well as I tried to call out of curiosity. He wants to be out of siteo ut of mind, that is why he chooses on his profile that he is looking to meet women 250 miles from Vegas, so they cannot know what he does thruout the week because of the distance.
Mixed feelings about dating someone met online. Advice? We've had 2 long phone conversations. He wants to take me to dinner. He has interjected sex into both conversations for a short period, and I have a problem with that after just 2 calls. I realize dating someone from an internet service can be dangerous, and it's probably not a good idea. He's nothing like what his profile stipulated in that he claims to be very religious. That is not the case. He never has talked about that. I'd like the opportunity to meet and be friends, but I have reservations about this guy. Anyone been there and done that?
need online/long distance dating advice? im a 25 y/o female & i met a guy online this past xmas. the 1st time we were supposed 2 meet, i told him something came up @ work. now that i'm ready to meet him, i wont get vacation time for 8 more wks. he will just think im bullshitting him now. should i tell him the vacation time situation & offer not 2 talk until then? since our phone convos our so intense, i feel like now ill be torturing him for another 8 wks! we have both decided 2 move in 2gether after we meet as long as we still feel the same about each other. i dont need input on that, i just need advice of how 2 handle things until im able 2 go up there. thanks so much!

Quick advice needed re online dating w/ Chinese girl? For the past few months I've been talking with a girl from China online, and on Skype. We seem to hit it off and would chat or talk pretty much every day, some days for a number of hours. On the days when one of us wouldn't be on for some reason, there would always be an email. Over the past 2 weeks she's become somewhat distant, not being online nearly as much, and not really saying much when she is. And even when we talk she'll do things like.. well I kind of feel silly mentioning this, but you know those little emoticons of flowers and things in msn, she used to put a couple of them up before saying goodnight, and now there's nothing, just a "goodnight, talk later". I know that sounds petty but when combined with the being distant, it's something I've noticed. I've asked her if she's started seeing someone, and she said no. I know we've just been talking but I really felt like we had made a connection and we had even discussed me coming over to visit her in a couple months' time, and she seemed receptive, even suggesting places we could visit. I've read things online about how Chinese girls sometimes play "hard to get" to see if a guy is really interested in her, but I don't know if that's real or just a stereotype. She seems to be more toward the modern end of the traditional-modern spectrum. My question is: has something similar happened to others, and if so, what was the outcome? Or if there are any Chinese girls reading this, do you have any advice? I really thought we had hit it off but then it seemed to take a downturn. Would I be rude to ask her outright why she's being distant? She did say she wasn't seeing anyone, but.. I'm a little frustrated :( Thanks for any advice.
Need some advice on online dating with older guys.? How do I tell him no? Help Please! My two friends BOTH love me!? I'd just like some advice...what you'd do if you were and personal experience would be nice too. Please don't be too judgmental. I met them both on the internet. We all talk all the time. On the phone..webcam..texting. I'm thirteen and I really love the second friend. We are like totally on the same page as each other. Sometimes he annoys the hell out of me but I love him just the same. We really are perfect for each other. First friend told me he loved a few days ago. He is eighteen. I've known him for five years. He lives an hour away. He has loved me for three years. I don't love him back. Second friend told me he loved me around Thanksgiving. He is sixteen. I've known him for three years. He lives a half hour away. He has loved me for six months. I love him back. They are like brothers and they've been friends for a very long time. I don't know what to say to the second friend with out hurting him. I really don't want to come in between their frienship either. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to respond.
Ladies, I need your advice on online dating? I met a girl on a dating website. She sent me a wink. I read her profile and it seems like we have lots in common. So I sent her an e-mail saying that, sent her a wink and asked her what her idea of of an ideal first date would be. She sent me a message back saying that she also thought we have a lot in common and that she'd like to meet for a casual drink, somewhere relaxed and enjoy each other's company. ...........Now it's my turn to respond, what would you suggest I say in the reply?
NEED ADVICE about ONLINE(rockstar) Dating! PLEASE? I met someone online (twitter) and we started chatting back and forth and we developed a lil relationship of going back and forth- slightly flirtatious. This went on for about 2 weeks...he lives in LA and I live in NY. It turned out we were going to the same event in NYC where he was going for a few days-( he has a very high profile job as a musican and was in town to receive an award) ...we decided to meet there. We saw each other there and we hung out the whole night pretty much and ended it with a hug as we were both with our best frinds too that night. We continue to talk online...and I told him that I want to see him again and that i want to get to know him better and he said that he is sure that we will... He is very busy and i think a little reluctant to open up as his a rockstar and probably has women throwing at him all of the time... I want to communicate how i feel about him (which is that I like him ALOT) with out scaring him away...he seems to like me too! I'm not a groupie...i didnt even know who his band was when we met...I just don't know how to persue a man like this...esp. via the internet and esp. because we are bicoastal! I felt a big connection...please give me advice as to how to let him know I like him without coming across pushy or crazy...thank yoU!!!
Can anyone give me advice about using an online dating service to meet women? I'm having a tough time knowing if any of the girls I'm talking to online--I'm using eHarmony-- are really serious or not. I may be rushing things too. Initially, there seems to be interest then, after about a week, I usually ask for their phone number, and or AIM screen name, and I don't end up hearing from them again, and I usually either give up or email again, and after that no reply. Is there some formula or unwritten rule that you can follow to tell if a girl really likes you in an online dating site? I also seem to blow it by being in a rush, how can i come off as not clingy, but interested too?

Dating a military man... I need advice on this please!!! Through an online dating site I made a connection...? with a guy deployed in Iraq on a 15 month tour in the US Army we began talking fairly steadily online/phone/email during the end of april which was near the end of his stay there. We hit it off really well and made plans to meet when he got back. The last I heard from him was May 21st and he got back last week sometime. He said he would call as soon as he got back to the states, but I haven't heard one word from him. I know he checked his myspace but only every few days. Today will mark 2 weeks since I've heard anything, I know post-deployment they have reintegration training for a set amount of days, but that wouldn't keep him from sending a short email would it? If he was a civilian I'd have given up long ago because he is military I feel like its a different beast. I know that being with a soldier takes loads of patience, but am I being too patient? Should I give up and move on? When he was over there I can understand long periods of no contact, but hes back now. Any advice please! I have a feeling he's not at home yet. I'm pretty sure he's still at his home station. That's what his website said last time I checked.
Need Advice, online turned in person dating question? Ok i am in my 30's and met a man online. We chatted for several months and then decided to meet. Meeting went great and he was great for a week after meeting. We live quite a distance apart and would have to fly to see eachother. Its now been a couple of months since meeting. No talk by him of meeting again. He has a busy demanding job so when i ask he said " no idea yet on when" because of work. I contact him way more than he contacts me which i am going to change. He doesn't call or try to talk to me as much as he did pre meeting. The talk now just seems friendly. I gave him an out and told him if things were different i would still think the world of him and he says all is the same. He has contacted me a few times and even seemed to get a little jealous and act interested but for the most part he avoids making it sound more than friends. When i ask though he says we are good. Why the change in contact? Why avoid? Why not just tell me? Its not like i can show up at his door? Oh yeah and i am sure he is not married or dating anyone else. That i do know for a fact.
I am a 40 Y/O/M and I need some dating advice from someone in their late 20s-40+ (Especially any women)? Heres my problem Im trying to start to date again and its been awhile. When I was 35 I had a heart attack and had a triple. I was in pretty good shape when it happened and still am . It was mainly a result of heredity. I thought I might try the online dating thing as with what I do work wise I really dont get the chance to meet anyone. My ? is when should I tell someone Im trying to get to know that Ive had a heart attack? Its not like I can or would hide it, I mean I have a line down the middle of my chest and a small pencil size line on the inside of my forearm from my wrist to my elbow. What has worried me most since it happened is that I wouldnt be able to find someone because of this, I mean that was one of the 1st things I thought of after it happened and I think I am a good man and really want to find a good woman and settle down and Im afraid that this will really hurt my chances of finding someone. Thanks for any advice. Thanks KimRN, and Christia. Christia I looking for a woman from 30+ to 43 or so nothing agianst the younger girls but I love women who are mature and closer to my age. Rolex, theres nothing wrong with that organ it functions just fine. Thanks for the answers, The main reason I posted this ? is that I beleive in being totally honest with your partner and was thinking this was something that needed to be atleast brought up by me before things went to far. Hopefully like a few of you said I can find someone who will not mind that this has happened.

Dating Long Distance, Met Online... Need Advice.? I met this person online. We clicked in all ways possible. We're long distance, western US from eastern US. We're going to meet shortly and plan out what we want to do. Talk constantly on phone and online. Problem is, I've been hurt in local relationships, and I am afraid of being hurt again. I want to give this my all, and I have developed a significant amount of feelings for him. His family and friends know about me, and I've been on the phone when he's talked to them... and I've talked with several of his friends. QUESTION: He's quite open with this, and practically every one knows about "us". BUT... am I just being paranoid? Because two particular girls leave him notes on his profiles using pet names and saying "hey lover" and such things. At one point he deleted one of them, he told me because he felt uncomfortable... but he readded her. I know talking about it is an option... but I don't want to feel over-bearing. So, paranoia? Or reasonable suspicion?
Need some advice!from men and women....Online dating!? To forgive or not to forgive? I have a online chatmate,we like each other,we had our instant connection, Then one day I didn’t know whats on her mind, she tricked me,her friend pretended that she was somebody, but she admitted it,she tested me how honest I am to her, She got upset when I talked to her friend online,of course I am so mad too because its not fair to test somebody like that,I have decided to stay away from her for awhile, she keeps on calling me saying sorry, sending emails apologizing, but I don’t talk to her yet. Should I forgive her give another chance?Or forget about her?
What would be some good advice for writing intro e-mails when meeting people on online dating sites? I find it really hard to write introductory e-mails on an internet dating site. I try to keep them brief and friendly, and I also try to end with an icebreaker type question... though I try to reword that so it's not so impersonal, ie. "If you could see anyone in concert tonight, who would it be?" rather than "What kind of music do you like?" Generally, I either get terse responses, with no follow up question to keep the conversation going, or no answer at all. I did have someone respond to one saying, basically, "Wtf? Why would you ask me that?" But I thought that was obvious... something about his profile caught my eye, and I was trying to start a conversation. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Advice for meeting up with someone in person met through an online dating service? I met this girl last week, through the free online dating service plentyoffish.com. She wants to meet in person. I have talked to her online and on the phone, and she seems okay. She lives out of my state, but only a half hour drive away. The strange things is that she says she is 34 lives with her parents does drive, but has no access to a car. I guess I would have to come to her parents house and pick her up and go out somewhere if I decide to meet her. When I have met potential dates before it has always been in public places, where we both brought our own transportation. Since it is the gentlemen thing to do, I will drive with a girl who I met in person before on a date, since I know a little bit more about them. But this situation just seems awkward and uncomfortable for me. I am not sure if I should meet her this way or not. This where I think dating sites are just not cracked up to what they claim and definetly not worth what they charge!
Girls, ok everyone else too please read, online dating question, right thing to do? Shawn here, Fall Out Boy fan since the 21st century. Ok anyway, i met this girl on this website. Im really getting to know her well and we talk daily. We have things in common and silly things in common. We both live in the same state, which means there could be a chance. Im just wondering, if i should get t know more about her, and if online dating would be the right thing to do until we have an opportunity to meet in person. Im really starting to like her for her personality, and she likes Blink-182( greatest band ever ), which is a bonus. I have trust for her and i know that she isn't lying about her age, and isn't some 45 year old woman who looks like a female freddy krugar(spelling) with a g-string and some purple hiking boots, lol i know its not funny. Anyway, would it be the right thing to do to try and earn her trust a little more, and go step by step? I've never really had a gf before, would it be right to find my first gf online? Is it wrong to date online? Answers/Advice? forgot to add my sigy, =). Thanks. Shawn. Blink-182 forever. Lates. ty for the appreciation of my joke, i try sometimes. and kudos to those of you who met your significant others online. And if she lives in atleast the same 1-40 mile radius as me, then Booyah, woot woot, i really hope she does though. wishing myself luck. well, recently i got rejected by a girl who's bff with my cousin, because of reasons, i will not publicly broadcast, but im just trying this to see if it'll work, you know doggy biscuits?
How does a 22-year-old guy write an online profile that will get him dates? I have finally decide to give in and try online dating. I have had no luck finding women anywhere(my city is overwhelmingly elderly) but I am so confused about how to succede. I have heard that 97% of men give up after 3 months because they have no luck. Dating advice... first date w/a guy i met in person (not online)? He seems interested as well... smiling to me whenver he sees me, trying to sit next to me whenever possible, making conversation, and he even gave me his phone number when I asked if he wanted to stay in contact and said, "So who's calling whom?" and I volunteered to call... In any case... I think he's really cute!! And we both want to major in English and love literature. WE both have chemistry of some sort... make each other laugh and there's always something interesting in our conversations. We're both gay guys and met in the bus that takes us to a community college a couple days ago. Started w/mutual smiles and now talking and all. I guess i'll ask him on a date this Friday. We're both like around 20. Any suggestions as to what precautions to take? Anything I should avoid doing. I'm both a virgin, never had a boyfriend, not even kissed someone, nor had a first date... mmm... I'm a bit nervous... any advice anyone?

Online Dating Help!? If you are exchanging first couple of messages with a person you're interested in and he/she suddenly stops messaging you, what would you do? I reckon I should wait for a week or so and message him to ask if he got my msg earlier but would I look desperate? Or should I just forget about him? I think he would be a good fit and I wanted to make it work. I am pretty new to online dating, so please advice and share your experiences with me if you have done it before.
Is online dating considered a desperate last resort? I've always associated online dating services as being desperate or 'for those people who can't find anyone'. Does it still have that perception? I'm going through a very lonely time in my life right now. I've been single for 4 years, I'm 26, the few friends that I have are either married with children or in committed relationships and the one guy I thought maybe I could have a chance with pretty much rejected me this summer. I'm feeling really down, isolated and alone and wondering if I should enter the online dating world. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!
Where to get advice about dating? I need to know an online advice column that helps teens with dating issues that may pertain to marriage. Do you know of any sites that may help? If you think you may be able to offer me advice, email me for the details.
